This policy applies to BGraph research notes, public charts, explainers, and methodology content. It does not replace a separate legal, privacy, or product review for a customer dataset.
A reader should be able to identify who published the source, what population and period it covers, which calculations BGraph added, how the result was interpreted, and where the conclusion no longer applies.
Six standards for every research note
Source hierarchy
Prefer regulators, legislation, original research, official statistics, and the first-party publisher of a dataset. A vendor may be cited for its own estimates, with the vendor and methodology identified.
Visible attribution
Link to the source near the claim or in an inspectable source section. Record the publication period and access date when the evidence can change.
Calculation review
Label BGraph calculations, retain the formula, use the source's units, and avoid false precision. A second check is required before a derived figure is published.
Interpretation limits
Do not present correlation as causation, survey reach as usage frequency, referral growth as market share, or public vendor data as proprietary BGraph coverage.
Commercial context
Research may explain where BGraph products are relevant. Commercial relevance does not change the source value, formula, or stated limitation.
Corrections
Correct material factual or calculation errors promptly. Update the revision date and add a correction note when the change affects the conclusion.
BGraph Research owns the published conclusion
Research pages identify BGraph Research as the organizational author and link to the company description. When an individual author or external reviewer is named, the attribution should be accurate and link to relevant background.
